Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice signaled the new approach in a speech yesterday in which she demanded an immediate cease-fire and warned that Khartoum faces “a choice between cooperation and confrontation.”
But when Israel attacked Lebanon, Rice’s voice couldn’t be heard.
She and the corrupt of this Administration just watched as their army of thugs, the Israeli Nazis killed, murdered and destroyed a country.
Where was your “voice” then Dr. Rice?
Or you only dare to threaten the weak and poor O you arrogant witch? And I mean Witch with a B! It seems we are on a quest to create and develop more enemies: Iraq, Iran, Syria, Lebanon, Afghanistan, etc… are not enough nations that hate U.S. policies! Therefore, we need to add Sudan today and a few more countries tomorrow.
U.S. officials said the options under consideration include reimposing sanctions that had been eased when Sudan signed a peace agreement last year with southern rebels, as well as taking action against top Sudanese officials who have been implicated in what the United States has labeled acts of genocide in Darfur.
Genocide in Darfur… but the genocide in Lebanon at the hands of Israelis, using American-made weapons (WMD).. where thousands of innocent children, women… all civilians, were killed, their homes destroyed and their country turned to ashes.
An Eye for an Eye
U.S. officials detained Sudan’s deputy foreign minister at Dulles International Airport for several hours last week and also restricted the travel of Sudan’s president, Lt. Gen. Omar Hassan al-Bashir, and his entourage when he came to address the U.N. General Assembly. Bashir was so angry that when he returned to Khartoum, he announced restrictions on the travel of U.S. diplomatic personnel and official U.S. visitors.
The U.S. is acting as if it’s God’s gift to humanity! Yet, it chooses who to destroy or who to threaten. But those rewarded are only the tyrants, or so-called allies who are mere dictators in their own countries.
We will reap what we sow! And it ain’t gonna be pretty!!!
Rice demanded yesterday that Khartoum accept the U.N. force. While the Darfur agreement will not be negotiated, she said, “we are conferring with rebels who want peace.”
Rice added: “We are seeking to address their legitimate concerns, and we will support them if they choose peace. If the rebels refuse, then they will face serious consequences, including targeted U.N. sanctions.”
What about the legitimate concerns of Palestinians, Lebanese, Iraqis, Afghans, etc. ? Or do we only support those who attack Arabs or Muslims?
